[The PCD is set somewhere stationary, the voice drifting in and out slightly as if someone is pacing back and forth in front of it.]

Killing... the Elders always say you should never kill someone unless it's for food or for self-defense. Killing someone out of revenge doesn't seem to accomplish anything especially since people come back. I guess it might make you humans feel good after it, but it seems so shallow and empty.

But killing someone who hadn't done anything to save everyone else... I guess that would fall under self-defense, but the problem is now everyone's angry and now people want more revenge so it doesn't seem like anything was accomplished but creating more anger and sadness.

Zedd? I don't get you. I always thought you were sensible and reasonable and it doesn't make sense. Because... you had to have had a reason.

[the pacing stops and there's a long sigh]

Augury, I'm going to pick Bob up then go back to our house. I... don't want all the research and materials to get damaged while we're gone. You know... his stuff.

And I found a store with all sorts of masks and pumpkins and costumes and these big bags of, um... Oh! Candy! And they're really really good except when the wrappers get stuck on the candy and I have to eat them too. Blegh.

And Zedd! Zedd! Do you thin kyou can try teaching me magic again? If you have time. I've been reading some books and I think I get it a bit more.

Say you hear a conversation, but you know you haven't heard that conversation before--ever--but you're hearing it now and you're hearing yourself speak, and you know its you speaking because you would recognize your own voice, but you've never said those things before and it really doesn't make sense...

...Araseth? But... yeah. I guess this is another event, one of those things everyone talks about?

Gladius! I found a lake not too far from here and Araseth says we can go swimming! Come on, let's go! ...What, you don't know how to swim? Hey, I'll teach you, it'll be easy! Trust me, it'll be a lot of fun!

[The sound of someone moving around is obvious as well as the sounds of various festivities going on.]

Zedd! Augury! You have to see this!There's all sorts of things going on in the streets! There are dancers and swordsmen and vendors and streamers and these really cool things called balloons that make a really lound BANG sound when you jump on them! This is so much fun! It's... it's just like the festivals back home!

[The PCD clicks on as faint hissing and some scuffling is heard in the background.]

Zedd! Zedd! Augury! I found a pet cat! He's big and fluffy and likes rabbits and do you think we can keep him? Can we? I promise to take good care of it and not let it get in the way!

[There's a loud hiss followed by a sudden yelp.]

STOP BITING MY TAIL! STOPT THAT! THAT HURTS!

[The feed ends]

Does anyone need any food? I can get plenty of apples and rabbits are easy to catch.

Zedd, I cooked some stew. You should have some. You need to eat.

[The PCD clicks on and the sound of heavy panting and movement is heard.]

Kiba! You were right! Not that it isn't pretty obvious now.

[A dry cough]

There's graveyard over around... um... the northeast. The ghouls are really fast so be careful if you're over there. There's also an oasis south of that. The fruit is good, but watch out for the giant lizard. It's a mean one.

[Something roars loudly and there's a small yelp as the PCD clatters to the ground.]

[A loud zapping sound followed by a pained scream.]

[A sudden yelp]

[The sound of someone crying loudly.]

Ahh, no, don't cry! I didn't mean to yell! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Here, look, pretty lights!

[The sound of something crackling as the crying stops followed by a loud zap. Shortly after, the crying begins again.]

…E-eh? What is this? Ack!

[A loud beep followed by a surprised yelp and scuffling and a long pause before there's cautious sniffing]

…Tobrias? A-Araseth? Are you around? Ahh…. Anyone?

[The sound of something being tapped several times, the tapping a little harder each time before there is a small crack]
